Safety
Â
Honda has developed an impeccable reputation for safety, and years of experience have been brought to bear upon every step of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline's development. From the tough ACE body structure to the abundance of advanced technologies, this is a truck that you can trust to keep you and your passengers safe from harm and perfectly in control.
ACE Body Structure
ACE stands for Advanced Compatibility Engineering, and Honda has developed this body structure over years of testing to ensure complete peace of mind for Twin Falls, Boise, and Sun Valley drivers. In a collision, the ACE body is designed crumple intuitively in order to redirect harmful impact energy away from the occupants of the vehicle.
Available Honda Sensing Suite
The ACE body is there to protect you in the event of an accident, but the available Honda Sensing suite is there to help prevent a collision from happening in the first place. It includes advanced driver-assistance technologies such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS).
Commitment to Safety
The Honda lineup reflects the automaker's commitment to ensuring the safety of its drivers, and the new Ridgeline will be no different. Honda is making every effort to ensure that the Ridgeline lives up to the safety standards of other Honda models, so drivers in Twin Falls, Boise, and Sun Valley can be confident using it as a family vehicle.
Multi-Angle Rearview Camera
Plenty of vehicles offer a standard rearview camera, and the 2017 Honda Ridgeline will be another to do so. However, the rearview camera in the Ridgeline features multi-angle functionality, which lets you cycle between three viewing modes (Normal, Wide, and Top-Down) in order to remain completely aware of the area around your truck.
Available Honda LaneWatch
Merging or changing lanes can be tricky when you're navigating heavy traffic or driving in less-than-perfect conditions, but that's where the LaneWatch system can lend a helping hand. When you indicate to your right, a small camera mounted beneath the passenger-side mirror will display a live feed on your model's touchscreen, showing close to four times more than the mirror alone.
Available Blind Spot Information System
The 2017 Ridgeline is also available with an advanced Blind Spot Information System. State-of-the-art sensors are used to constantly monitor your blind spot. If the system detects a vehicle entering that area, a warning indicator will let you know that it is there, saving you from making dangerous maneuvers.
